Julia Hennig

Julia is a Certified Planetary Herbalist who lives in Anchorage Alaska. She is also passionate and knowledgeable in nutrition and homeopathy as well as being a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer. Julia holds a MS in Physics from the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, Germany from where she graduated in 2009. She continued her education in Space Physics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and worked as a Research Engineer in Silicon Valley before she began studying herbs and medicinal plants in Santa Cruz, CA in 2012.
As a Planetary Herbalist, Julia is a graduate of Lesley and Michael Tierra's East West School of Planetary Herbology and a member of the American Herbalists Guild. She has had the privilege of taking classes and seminars with some of the greatest herbalists in the United States continuing her education in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Herbalism and Ayurveda.
Julia believes that the body wants to be in balance, and that it has the inherent ability to find this balance to heal itself. However, an imbalanced body needs help to find a state of equilibrium. This kind of help can be provided with herbs, a change of diet and life style and body therapies, such as Moxabustion and Cupping.
Julia is passionate about plant medicine, nutrition, and fitness and likes to offer her help to those who care for their health and are willing to listen to their body. We live in a wonderful time in which traditional remedies combined with the newest techniques can provide us with optimal wellness.
When Julia is not studying herbs she enjoys Crossfit and loves spending time outside in nature with her family.
